In the Main Event, highly touted Puerto Rican prospect Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Rodríguez ( 7-0, 5 KO ) from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, and former world title challenger David Quijano ( 15-3-1, 9 KO ) from Caguas, PR, both weighed 115.5 pounds for their 8 round bout.
“Training camp was great”, said Rodríguez, who trains with former world champion Iván Calderón, “I’m planning to outbox Quijano all night long but who knows, a KO sounds even better”.<
“I’m ready to be very aggresive, and gave the fans what they want. ‘Manny’ is a very good boxer but I’m better”, Quijano said.<
Co-featuring, Jesús ‘Chiquito’ Soler ( 4-1, 2 KO ) and Emmanuel ‘Popeye’ Ramírez ( 6-0, 4 KO) both weighed 111.4 lbs in their 6 round bout.
