Dillian Whyte takes another small step to what he hopes will be a 2025 where he challenges for world honours again, but first he must deal with Ebenezer Tetteh in a scheduled ten rounder at Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar.

DAZN televise Whyte vs Tetteh live worldwide.

Whyte (30-3, KO20) has had a chequered career and finally received his first world title in April 2022.

The Body Snatcher’ found Tyson Fury too good at Wembley Stadium, stopped in six rounds, and he then laboured to a comeback majority decision win against Jermaine Franklin.

The 36-year-old would then gear up for a rematch against Anthony Joshua, who defeated him in 2015, but the fight didn’t materialise, as Whyte failed a drugs test, which was announced a week before their proposed rematch.

The failed test was ruled as a result of a contaminated supplement, and Whyte was free to resume his career, which he did in a low-key third round retirement win against Christian Hammer in Ireland in March.

The Brixton man now continues his comeback trail against Tetteh (23-1, 20 KOs), who shouldn’t cause him too much trouble.

The Ghanaian has lost just once, but it was inside a round in a defeat to Daniel Dubois in 2019.

Tetteh, 36, has won four times since, all inside schedule in Africa, the last a fifth round stoppage of Ayaovi Agbonson in April.

Prediction: This should be a straightforward assignment for Whyte, and once Tetteh feels his power, the end shouldn’t be too long in coming. Whyte can win this one in the first few rounds.

Carty clashes with Mielonen

Unbeaten Irish heavyweight, Thomas Carty (9-0, 8 KOs)Β sees action on the card, and he should win early in his scheduled eight rounder against Finland’s Mika Mielonen (7-2, 6 KOs), who has lost by stoppage in both of his defeats.

Perez battles Duffus

At cruiserweight in another eight rounder, a forgotten man in Mike Perez (29-3-1, 20 KOs) is on the bill, and the former world title challenger has his first bout of 2024, which he should take inside schedule against Israel Duffus (20-12, KO17), who has been halted in each of his last three fights, and has lost six on the spin, including to Britain’s Cheavon Clarke.

Remaining Undercard

In six rounders, super featherweight prospect, Jermaine Dhliwayo (3-0, 1 KO) can win on points against Brazil’s Jonatas Rodrigo Gomes de Oliveira (6-17, 5 KOs), and Georgian middleweight, Nikoloz Sekhniashvili (9-2, 7 KOs) can also take a points win against Omir Rodriguez (15-23-1, 6 KOs).

At featherweight, Tyrone Buttigieg (7-0, 2 KOs) can remain unbeaten with a points victory over Michael Nielsen (7-6-1, 2 KOs).

At super middleweight, Cathal Crowley (5-0, 2 KOs) should also come through on the cards against Mikolaj Rabczak (2-4, 2 KOs), and in the sole four rounder, Sedem Ama (3-0, 1 KO) can win her super welterweight clash with Ester Konecna (7-30-2, 2 KOs) on points.
