A highly anticipated rematch has been finalized, as Pawel Wolak will once again face Delvin Rodriguez in a junior middleweight showdown. The first Wolak vs. Rodriguez bout from this summer was one of the best fights of the year, a seesaw, action-packed affair which headlined a Friday Night Fights card from the Roseland Ballroom in NYC. Wolak and Rodriguez will do battle in the Big Apple once again, but this time it will be on a bigger stage.
The two will be fighting at Madison Square Garden on December 3rd, appearing as one of the main supporting bouts for the Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito II pay-per-view. It gives fight fans a match they have been clamoring to see, and it gives both Wolak and Rodriguez a worthy stage for another epic encounter, as well as a heftier payday which both men deserve as well.
You’d be hard pressed to find a bad fight that Wolak or Rodriguez have ever been in, and the two styles combined simply lead to fantastic fistic fireworks. Wolak vs. Rodriguez II adds a lot more bang for your buck for potential PPV purchases for Cotto-Margarito II as well, and is the rematch that will likely offer more action and entertainment.
Here is what Wolak had to say to his fans on Facebook:
