The Los Angeles Matadors announced their quest to reign supreme and dominate the newly founded World Series of Boxing by unveiling their team logo along with their roster of world class boxers and experienced coaching staff.
Los Angeles Team is led by two-time Olympian Rau’Shee Warren. It will compete against squads from Miami, Memphis and Mexico City. Exciting new league signals a new era in the global boxing world. The World Series of Boxing is the first-ever global sports league.

“Being part of the launch of WSB is a tremendous honor and also a huge benefit to me because it will give me the pro style experience I need, but I still get to go back to the Olympics in 2012 and get my gold medal,’’ said Warren, who will compete as a bantamweight. “It’s really exciting to be part of the L.A. Matadors. I get to entertain the fans in L.A. like Kobe does for the Lakers, as I bring the ruckus to the ring.”
The city of Los Angeles has a huge following among the Hispanic population and has produced many great fighters, including the “Golden Boy,” Oscar De La Hoya. Warren and his talented teammates, who chose the name Matadors, will box in black, red, and gold colors.
There will knockout action in and out of the ring. Generating equal excitement at the events and within the community will be The Matador KnockOut Girls, the team’s secret promotional weapon.
In addition to Warren, an extremely skilled and gifted group of boxers has been assembled, including several local products such as Javier Torres, a hard-hitting heavyweight from Pico Rivera. The team trains at the famed ROCK GYM in Carson, Calif.
