Yamaguchi Falcao makes pro debut & undefeated Adeilson Dos Santos in action in Brazil on Saturday

Golden Boy Promotions makes its Brazilian debut on Globosat on Saturday, January 25, with a hard-hitting card at the Arena Santos in Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil featuring the pro debut of 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist Yamaguchi Falcao and a main event pitting hometown hero Adeilson Dos Santos against Carlos Gaston Suarez.

In Saturday’s 10-round main event, which will be contested for the WBC World Youth Featherweight Title, Sao Paulo’s own Adeilson Dos Santos (12-0, 9 KO’s) will defend the title he won last September with a second-round technical knockout of 14-0 Marcos Gabriel Martinez in Argentina against another tough Argentinean in Buenos Aires’ Carlos Gaston Suarez (6-2, 1 KO). A pro since 2012, the 21-year-old Dos Santos is already drawing positive comparisons to Brazilian standouts of the past, and with a win over Suarez, he will keep the momentum going to kick off 2014.

Hailing from Vitoria, 26-year-old Yamaguchi Falcao will be making one of the most eagerly anticipated debuts seen in Brazil in years when he meets Argentina’s Martin Fidel “El Terrible” Rios (9-0-2, 3 KO’s) in an eight-round middleweight bout. A Silver medalist at the 2011 Pan American Games and a Bronze medal winner at the 2012 London Olympics, this national hero is eager to begin his pro journey this weekend against a hungry and undefeated opponent in La Pampa’s Rios.
