Zou Shiming has arrived in Las Vegas, and he made his grand arrival at the Venetian hotel on the strip to much fanfare. According to Bob Arum, his promoter, the fanfare is deserved, as the Chinese Olympic boxing champion is the “Yao Ming of Boxing.”
Watch a video interview with Arum here to see more of his thoughts on Zou Shiming, and also take a look at a collection of photos from Shiming’s arrival at the Venetian, as well as his inaugural training session in the states working with Freddie Roach.
We also have a second video interview, this one with Freddie Roach, and he name drops a certain Manny Pacquiao as he talks about Zou Shiming:
So, the big arrival is out of the way, and now it’s time for Zou Shiming to get down to business. He’ll be making his professional debut in about two months, and with his great amateur pedigree, hopefully he progresses through the ranks speedily. Working with Freddie Roach and the rest of his team is certainly a good place to start!
